Title of the Post: Feminism And How It Changed The World.

Content of the post: Today, women have all the rights that their ancestors fought for. Feminism has become synonymous with man-hating. But what feminism actually means is that women are equal to men on all grounds. Feminism started long ago, in the year 1848. When two women, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott decided to take things into their own hands. They were the first women to fight for women's rights. They organized the Seneca Falls Convention regarding women's rights. This led to the Women's Suffrage Movement. All over the world, women started fighting for equal rights, breaking stereotypes and barriers. Their efforts did not go in vain as countries started allowing women to vote. In 1947 women in India gained the right to vote. The United Nations was formed on October 24th, 1945 to maintain international peace and security. In 1946 Frieda Dalan was the first woman to address the UN general assembly. The year 1975 was dubbed "Women's Year" to remind the world about discrimination against women. On 8th March 1917, Russian women went on a strike demanding "bread and peace". This resulted in Russian women getting the right to vote. Hence this day became Women's Day. Years passed by with women still fighting for their rights. In July 2010, UN Women was formed. At this point, women are running the world and making it a better place. After so many years, the world became a safer and more enjoyable place for women.
